東洋エンタープライズ社(Toyo Enterprises)のミリタリーレーベル「Buzz Rickson バズリクソン」のA-2デッキジャケット(メンズ ミリタリーシャツジャケット)です。

A2デッキジャケットは、米海軍艦艇乗員用のN-1デッキジャケットの後継モデルとして、1960年前半に採用された防寒用デッキクルージャケットです。前モデルのN-1と比較すると、色味や使用素材に変化が見られ、表地はコットングログランからバックサテン地に、裏地はアルパカウールからナイロンボアへと変更されており、その変更は生産性とコスト面を見直した結果でした。カラーは軍規定色のオリーブドラブが採用されました。仕様については基本的なディテールはN-1を継承していますが、襟の形状が変更され、また、胸ポケット・裾のアジャスターが追加されています。シンプルなデザインと必要最低限の機能性を兼ね備えたモデルです。

この製品は、そのA-2デッキジャケットの復刻モデルです。表地にコットンバックサテン、裏地にポリエステルとアクリル混紡ボアを配して防寒性を確保したジャケットはミリタリー・ワーク・アメカジスタイルにも合うアイテムです。

素材は綿100%のヘビーウェイトコットンバックサテンです。高密度に織られたハリとコシのある頑強で肉厚な生地です。生地表面には横線が入った様に見える、ムラ感・スラブ感のある独特の風合いの丈夫な生地で、ミリタリーらしい無骨な表情ながら、しなやかな着心地も併せ持つ生地です。

身頃裏地と袖裏地は、ポリエステル70%・アクリル30%の混紡ボアで、保温性・防寒性が高められています。化学繊維のボアですので、天然素材ボアに比べて、柔らかく、軽量で、取り扱いがイージーな素材です。

フロントは、ジッパーと、その上をボタンで留める比翼(ストームフラップ)仕立てで、風が侵入してくるのを防いでくれるつくりになっています。ファスナーにはConmatic(コンマティック)社製のジップが使用されています。ジッパーのスライダーにはレザータブが付けられ、バイクのグローブなどをしていても開閉がしやすくなるようにされています。

衿はボディと同素材のシャツカラータイプです。左胸にはスナップボタン留めのフラップポケットが、ウエスト部分には手を入れやすいように斜めにカッティングされた片玉縁ハンドウォーマーポケットが設けられています。

袖口の内側には外気をより遮断できるようにウールリブが付けられています。

裾の両サイドには絞り調整用のバックルアジャスターが付けられています。

Outer shell : 100% cotton heavyweight satin-backed (back sateen) outer shell in olive-drab color. Non-stretch, tightly woven satin-backed fabric with a slubby and rough-hewn texture and rugged appearance and uneven surface from horizontal lines on the face of the fabric. It is high density and extremely durable. It combines the toughness and the natural softness for comfort.

Color : Olive Drab.

Lining shell : 70% polyester and 30% acrylic blended synthetic fiber fur sherpa lining for torso and sleeves to retains heat and protect you from the cold. It is designed to mimic the look of natural materials. Faux versions are easier to clean and maintain. This lining provides great warmth to the wearer.

Types of garment closure (Placket type) : Zipper closure with zip tape made of all-cotton HBT fabric. Vintage-style Conmatic Zipper closure with button-front wind flap protector (storm flap) located in front of zipper closure. This design protects the wind from slipping through the front. A leather tab has been attached to zipper pull-tab, making it easy to open and close when riding a motorcycle or wearing gloves (or both). Buttons are Mil Specs Urea.

Collar tyoe : Self-fabric collar designed in the style of a shirt.

Cuff type : The sleeve openings are lined with a inset rib to protect from the cold wind. Wool-knit cuffs hidden up inside the sleeve openings.

Storage : The jacket has three exterior pockets. One chest pocket with flap closures secured by snap-down button. Two external slanted single welt slash hand warmer pocket on waist.
